Adrienne Carr
Adrienne Carr is a career educator. Adrienne entered the field of education in 1997 in response to a need for science teachers. After graduating from Howard University in Washington, D.C. in 1996, she returned to Cincinnati and began a Masters + Teacher Certification program at the University of Cincinnati. She taught high school science in Cincinnati for 7 years, during which time she also completed a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. After finishing her doctorate in 2007, Adrienne joined the Ohio Department of Education as a Science Content Specialist. She transitioned her role within the department to a team managing one of the largest education grants awarded to the state of Ohio, and was also an instructor teaching at the masters level at Muskingum University. At the end of that grant period, Adrienne returned to the local level to work in education leadership and has been serving in that role for 5 years.
