Meghana Karthic is a strong advocate for women empowerment and is passionate about combining technology and humanitarianism to advance other people’s lives. As a junior at New Albany High School, she is a Technovation Global Student Ambassador, a recognized app developer, and the co-president of Girl Up. Within these roles, she is teaching underprivileged girls how to code, creating an app to combat the opioid epidemic, and leading a school-wide performance that brings awareness to human trafficking. In addition to continuing these endeavors in the future, Meghana wants to motivate her audience to take action in their communities by encouraging females to be a part of the next generation of STEM leaders.
