Scott Guldin
Angular. Slouchy. Carbon-Based.
You might learn how these three words relate to our seventh speaker, Scott Guldin, when you come to TEDxNewAlbany this April!
As a middle school teacher, Scott Guldin draws on several years of experience as a sketch and improvisational comedian to cultivate a classroom climate that invites students to laugh as they learn. After graduating from Kenyon College, Guldin took writing classes at Second City in Chicago and performed with 1033, his sketch comedy troupe.
For six fulfilling years, he has taught English and writing to seventh and eighth grade students at an independent school in Kansas City. He also coaches a successful speech team filled with adolescents that he describes as having "much more courage than I possessed at that age." Guldin approaches each day hoping that, if nothing else, his students have found the fun inherent in learning.
